Texas Tech's Temitope Adeshina Named to Bowerman Watch List

Temitope Adeshina, a high jumper from Texas Tech, has been selected for the Bowerman mid-indoor watch list, which highlights top collegiate athletes in track and field. Adeshina, a Nigerian athlete, is among three freshmen on the list, alongside athletes like Jameesia Ford and Hanna Moll.

She follows in the footsteps of Ezekiel Nathaniel, who was a finalist for the prestigious 2025 Bowerman Award. Adeshina, a reigning NCAA indoor champion and Nigerian national record holder, has achieved remarkable success, including clearing 1.97m and holding the NCAA's top high jump mark at 1.96m.

She has broken the Nigerian national record three times and set a new Texas Tech record. Adeshina's achievements include qualifying for the 2025 World Athletics Championships and competing in the 2024 Olympics.

She aims to continue her success in the upcoming NCAA season.
