Adeshina Wins Third Big 12 Indoor High Jump Title

Temitop Adeshina secured her third consecutive Big 12 indoor high jump title by clearing 1.96m on Friday, which equaled the second-best mark in Texas Tech's history and set a new meet record, surpassing the previous record of 1.93m set by Akela Jones in 2016. Adeshina became the first woman in Big 12 history to win three consecutive indoor high jump titles, a feat previously achieved by Ryle Anderson from 2021 to 2023.

She faced strong competition from Kansas State's Shari Eno, who finished second with a mark of 1.93m. Adeshina acknowledged Eno's role in motivating her to perform at her best, stating, "she's the reason behind my jump." With this victory, Adeshina remains unbeaten in her career at Big 12 championship meets, bringing her total conference titles to five—three indoor and two outdoor.

She is also recognized on the Bowerman Mid-Indoor Watch List and currently holds the NCAA's top high jump mark of 1.96m, ranking fourth globally.
