adidas and waf. Launch Lagos-Inspired Superstar ADV Sneaker

On October 12, 2026, adidas and waf. (Wafflesncream) released the Superstar ADV sneaker, marking a historic collaboration that integrates the Lagos skate culture into the sneaker's design for the first time since its debut in 1970. Co-founded in 2012 by Jomi Marcus-Bello, Nifemi Marcus-Bello, and KC Obijiaku, waf. has played a pivotal role in developing the Lagos skateboarding scene, culminating in the establishment of a skatepark at Freedom Park in 2024.

The sneaker features a dusty grey upper inspired by Lagos Island, breathable side panels suitable for Lagos' climate, and a translucent pink outsole reflecting the city's horizon at different times of the day. The launch began at the waf. flagship store in Lagos at 9:00 a.m.
