IGP Disu Assigns New Police Spokespersons to Commands and Formations

Police Inspector-General Olatunji Rilwan Disu has sanctioned fresh deployments of Public Relations Officers and Liaison staff to various commands and formations across Nigeria's police apparatus. These assignments take effect immediately, spanning multiple operational zones, state commands, and specialist centres nationwide.

On Friday, the Force's Public Relations Officer CSP Ani Iniedu distributed an official communiqué detailing the strategic rationale. The move aims to bolster communication capacity, widen dissemination of trustworthy police data, and strengthen ties between the force, media outlets, and community groups.

The initiative covers Police Zone 5, Zone 11 (Osogbo), commands in Benue and Yobe states, the National Cybercrime Centre, the Police Academy, and a Criminal Investigation Department facility in Gombe. Superintendent of Police Johnson A. Doghudje features among officers reassigned through this organisational restructuring.

His new posting reflects management's commitment to transforming how the institution communicates with the public, journalists, and stakeholders regarding operational matters.
