NDPHC's Gas Demand to Reach 700mscf Daily at Full Capacity

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) anticipates its gas demand to surge to 700 million standard cubic feet per day when all 28 power turbines are operating at full capacity. Jennifer Adighije, the Managing Director of NDPHC, revealed this during an industrial session in Lagos.

Currently, the company's 10 power plants comprise 28 gas power turbines across its fleet. Adighije emphasized the importance of gas utilization to sustain power generation in Nigeria and highlighted the commitment to unlocking domestic gas consumption.

She also acknowledged the ongoing reforms in the power sector aimed at commercialization and liberalization.
