Nigeria's AfCFTA Office Connects Businesses to Africa

The Nigerian AfCFTA Coordinating Office, under the leadership of Dr. Olusegun Olutayo, is focused on connecting Nigerian businesses with African markets through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The office aims to identify export-ready products and strengthen linkages across the continent's value chain. The implementation of AfCFTA is seen as a significant stride under the stewardship of Mr.

Olusegun Awolowo, who has committed to a renewed hope agenda aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration. The office is also engaging in digitization efforts to integrate AfCFTA processes into the national trade information system, which is expected to enhance transparency and facilitate data exchange.

A report titled "Nigeria AfCFTA Consolidated Implementation Report 2024-2025" outlines key milestones achieved, including Nigeria's formal participation in AfCFTA trade arrangements and the successful execution of its first AfCFTA-compliant shipment, marking a historic step in the country's integration into the continent's trade system.
