Affiong Victor Usimka confirmed Chief Registrar of Akwa Ibom Judiciary

Affiong Victor Usimka has been officially appointed as the Chief Registrar of the Akwa Ibom Judiciary, confirmed by Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, Justice Ekaete Fabian Obot. Usimka had been serving in an acting capacity prior to this confirmation.

The appointment was announced in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary of the Chief Judge, Mr. Gilbert Ukoh.

During the swearing-in ceremony held in the Chief Judge's chamber, Justice Obot emphasized the importance of humility, faithfulness, and courtesy in the role of Chief Registrar, describing it as the "engine room" of the judiciary. Usimka, in taking the oath, expressed commitment to being faithful, loyal, and diligent in carrying out her duties.

The appointment is effective as of Monday, August 11, 2025.
