AFMPN Advocates for Enhanced Asset Management in Lagos

The Association of Federal Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AFMPN), under the leadership of Dr. Olumide Aina, conducted a high-level courtesy visit to several Lagos State agencies, including the Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA), Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA), Lagos State Material Testing Laboratory (LSMTL), Lagos State Waste Management Office (LSWMO), and the Health Facilities Monitoring Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA). This engagement is part of AFMPN's broader strategy to deepen collaboration with government institutions and facilitate effective management of public infrastructure.

The discussions emphasized the importance of institutional capacity development and adherence to international best practices in infrastructure management, regulatory compliance, and public safety. Aina highlighted that effective infrastructure management extends beyond the delivery of physical assets to include long-term operational maintenance and sustainability.

The agencies recognized the need for collaboration with AFMPN to build institutional capacity and improve asset performance throughout the lifecycle of public infrastructure.
