Africa Future Farmers Trains 1,500 Youths in Agribusiness Skills in Lagos

Africa Future Farmers successfully trained 1,500 teenagers and university students from underserved communities in agribusiness skills at a capacity-building forum during the Lagos maiden Edit It Festival. The initiative aims to equip young people with practical skills, critical thinking, and innovation for responsible citizenship in the increasingly digitized economy.

The festival emphasized bridging the skill gap and providing tools for problem-solving at community and national levels. The event featured industry leaders facilitating sessions on multimedia editing, visual storytelling, graphic and web design, digital content creation, and entrepreneurship.

The program includes a year-long development pathway for youth to continue learning, receive mentorship, and explore entrepreneurial opportunities, with the goal of impacting Africa's economic and social growth positively.
