Nigerian music icon 2Face, also known as Innoc Idibia, revealed that his popular song "African Queen" has become a burden for him despite its initial success. The track, released in 2004, propelled him to international stardom, winning several awards.

However, controversies have plagued the song, with former bandmate Blackface claiming that 2Face stole it. Recently, a new controversy arose when Billboard named "African Queen" as the greatest Afrobeat song of all time in August 2025.
