Shoday Joins Funke Akindele's Movie 'The Four' Release
Afrobeats star Shoday is set to make his acting debut in Funke Akindele's new movie titled 'The Four', which is scheduled for release on December 11, 2026. This film will feature an ensemble cast that includes veteran actors and other musicians, including award-winning vocalist Waje.
The inclusion of Shoday and Waje in the film exemplifies the ongoing interaction between the music and movie industries in Nigeria, where musicians frequently appear in Nollywood films and actors venture into music. Funke Akindele, known for her record-breaking theatrical releases, continues her trend of casting musicians in her films, following her previous collaborations with artists such as a notable rapper in 2019 and another in her 2024 project.
Akindele's efforts aim to maintain her successful streak in the entertainment industry, particularly with her December releases.
