Tekno Reveals Throat Issues Cost Him Millions in Fees

The singer-songwriter experienced severe acid reflux that damaged his vocal cords, leading to the cancellation of multiple shows.

This situation compelled him to travel to the United States for surgery, as he could not find the necessary medical care in Nigeria. Tekno stated that he had to spend his own money to fulfill booking obligations and refund approximately one million dollars worth of shows during this challenging period.

He described this time as a dark year in his career, where he lost his voice and had to undergo surgery in New York. Tekno's ordeal reflects the health challenges faced by artists and how it can impact their careers.
