Afrocentric Cultural Expo to Generate $300M Economic Impact

The Afrocentric Cultural Expo, organized by the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce-USA (NICOCUSA) and scheduled to take place in Abuja from November 7 to 18, is projected to have an economic impact of between $250 million and $300 million. Gregory Uche Ihenacho, Founder and Chief Executive of NICOCUSA, stated that the expo aims to position Nigeria as a continental hub for culture, creativity, tourism, investment, and international partnerships.

The event will connect stakeholders across various sectors, including culture, business, and technology. Ihenacho emphasized that the expo is designed as a long-term platform to showcase Nigeria's cultural wealth, create job opportunities, attract investments, and enhance international visibility.

The initiative will also focus on developing local talents through collaborations with Nigerian academies and universities. Additionally, a film festival will be part of the expo, allowing students to submit their works.

The broader vision is to promote African culture and creativity as significant contributors to the global economy.
