FG Launches Afrocentric Cultural Expo 2026 in Abuja

The Federal Government has announced the Afrocentric Cultural Expo 2026, set to take place from November 7 to November 18 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Complex in Abuja. Organised by the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy in collaboration with the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce-USA and the Afrocentric Global Expo Organising Committee, the event is projected to inject over N125 million into Nigeria's local economy.

Jemma Amachree, Special Adviser to the Minister on Job Creation, represented Hannatu Musa Musawa, the Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, during the unveiling. Amachree stated that the Expo aims to redefine global perceptions of Africa and enable the continent to reclaim its narrative while deriving economic value from its cultural assets.

The Expo will feature over 1,000 exhibition booths and include an Afrocentric Music Festival, Film Festival, high-fashion exhibition, and a global business forum, connecting the African diaspora with opportunities in Africa.
