After Multiple Auchi Accidents, Dangote Trains 2,000 Truck Drivers, Retrains 900 More

Dangote Cement Plc has taken steps to improve road safety by training and retraining 2,000 truck drivers, with an additional 900 undergoing training. The company's Managing Director, Arvind Pathak, emphasized the importance of thorough screening processes for new drivers, including health assessments and background checks.

The training sessions, held at the Ibese Plant and Ilaro, aim to align drivers with the company's Absolute Safer Road Policy. Pathak highlighted the company's commitment to ethical practices and collaboration with law enforcement agencies to enhance public safety on Nigerian roads.

Additionally, Dangote Refinery's new fleet, worth N720 billion, is set to revolutionize fuel distribution in Nigeria, reducing logistics expenses and ultimately lowering costs for consumers. The company's initiatives demonstrate a strong dedication to road safety and operational efficiency.
