Dangote Group Boosts Logistics with 10,000 Truck Acquisition Amid NUPENG Dispute

Aliko Dangote, the President and CEO of Dangote Group, revealed the acquisition of 10,000 trucks, including CNG fuel tankers and dry cargo vehicles, to enhance the group's logistics operations nationwide. This announcement comes amidst a dispute with the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) over the company's trucking activities.

Dangote stated that the truck acquisition is part of efforts to modernize logistics, improve efficiency, and address concerns raised by NUPENG regarding potential job losses due to the group's expansion. The fleet of trucks, including CNG tankers and dry cargo vehicles, will support the group's operations and create direct job opportunities in driving, logistics, and maintenance.
