Dangote Group Launches $2.5B Fertilizer Plant Project in Ethiopia

Dangote Group, led by its CEO, commences a $2.5 billion fertilizer plant project in Ethiopia, in partnership with Ethiopian investors. The plant, located in Ethiopia's southeast region, is set to produce three million metric tons of urea annually, boosting agriculture and food security in the region.

Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed hails the project as a significant industrial milestone and a sign of shared responsibility and cooperation. The project signifies Dangote's commitment to expanding its fertilizer production capacity in the region, aiming to position Ethiopia as a leading agricultural nation in Africa within five years.
