LASEPA Seals 12 Lagos Establishments for Violating Regulations

On September 23, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) announced the sealing of 12 establishments, including a church, hotels, and a nightclub, due to ongoing violations of environmental regulations. This enforcement action took place on Tuesday and affected locations such as Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando, and Agodo-Egbe.

LASEPA stated that the establishments had repeatedly failed to comply with its directives despite receiving multiple warnings and abatement notices. The agency emphasized that operators were given opportunities to rectify the identified infractions before the sealing.

Among the establishments sealed were Thrillz Lounge, Feixiang Plastic, Limas, Nico Hotel & Suites, Kobo Night Club, Master Furniture, and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge, with reasons including noise pollution and non-compliance with environmental directives. The agency reiterated that environmental regulations apply to all establishments, including places of worship.
