Tinubu Commissions Ojota-Opebi Bridge in Lagos

On Wednesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu formally inaugurated the Ojota-Opebi link road bridge in Lagos, a project that has been long awaited and is seen as a major milestone in the state's urban transport architecture and traffic decongestion strategy. The commissioning ceremony, held amidst elaborate pomp, was part of President Tinubu's two-day official visit to Lagos State, during which he unveiled several flagship projects executed by the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio represented the President at the event. Tinubu emphasized that the bridge is not just a physical structure but a symbol of the government's commitment to development that can be felt by the people.

Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Julius Berger for delivering the project on time and within budget, despite the challenging swampy terrain. Engr. Dr. Peer Lubasch, Managing Director of Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, described the project as a crucial milestone for alleviating traffic congestion and boosting the economy of Lagos State.
