Tinubu to Inaugurate Opebi–Mende Link Bridge This Week

President Bola Tinubu will inaugurate the Opebi–Mende link bridge in Lagos this week, as disclosed by Gboyega Akosile, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Media. The announcement was made alongside a video showcasing the bridge's readiness.

This strategic project, which is part of the Lagos State Government's infrastructural transformation efforts, aims to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion within the metropolitan area. The Opebi–Mende link bridge is expected to create a new route that will reduce travel time and commuting stress for residents, particularly around the busy Ikeja and Maryland areas.

The bridge reflects collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and is projected to be completed by October 2025. The Lagos State Government has indicated that the bridge will serve as an alternative route for motorists, helping to decongest one of Lagos's busiest traffic corridors.
