Nigeria's Power Grid Collapses, Plunging 30 States into Darkness

Nigeria experienced another power grid collapse, leading to a partial blackout in 30 states as 10 distribution companies had zero power supply. The collapse occurred between 11-12 pm on a Wednesday, with power generation dropping significantly.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) confirmed the loss of electricity in its franchise area due to the grid's failure. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) had yet to provide an update on the cause of the collapse.

The AEDC assured customers of efforts to restore power and stabilize the grid, urging patience and understanding during the outage.
