Omo-Agege and Oborevwori Clash Over Delta Election Results

The political rivalry between Ovie Omo-Agege, former Deputy President of the Senate, and Sheriff Oborevwori, the current Governor of Delta State, intensified as they traded words over the 2023 governorship election. Omo-Agege recalled the APC's struggles, winning only four local government areas compared to Oborevwori's 21, and emphasized the need for unity within the party.

He criticized Oborevwori's remarks made during a lecture, suggesting they were provocative and counterproductive to healing and reconciliation. Omo-Agege acknowledged the Supreme Court's final judgment on the election and congratulated Oborevwori for his significant victory, which included 360,000 votes.

He urged party members to focus on future elections, specifically the 2027 governorship race, and to work towards uniting the APC to secure victories in upcoming contests.
