Omo-Agege Accuses Oborevwori of Ignoring Tinubu's Directive

Ovie Omo-Agege, the former Deputy Senate President, criticized Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for allegedly flouting President Bola Tinubu's directive regarding the distribution of party structure within the All Progressives Congress (APC). The directive called for a 60-40 arrangement to accommodate both old and new members following Oborevwori's defection to the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In an interview, Omo-Agege claimed that Oborevwori's administration has sidelined long-standing party members and taken complete control of the party structure. He also expressed his full support for Peter Obi's presidential campaign for the 2027 elections, asserting loyalty to the Labour Party (LP) and criticizing the APC's leadership.

Omo-Agege won the Delta Central senatorial primary with significant support, claiming over 109,000 votes across various wards, while alleging that the APC primary process was manipulated. He emphasized his commitment to the opposition party and dismissed any suggestions of switching allegiances.
