Umo Eno Consults Akpabio for 2027 Re-Election Bid

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno led a delegation to consult with Senate President Godswill Akpabio on his 2027 re-election bid. Eno disclosed this information in a statement on his Facebook page following the meeting on Monday.

He expressed appreciation for Akpabio's continued support and commitment to peace, unity, and development in Akwa Ibom State. Eno reaffirmed the collective resolve to work together and support President Bola Tinubu's vision for a united Akwa Ibom State.

During the meeting, Akpabio received Eno and his delegation warmly, offering encouraging remarks about continuing to prioritize peace and progress in the state. Eno, who defected from the People's Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress, is intensifying political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections and has formally submitted his nomination form for a second term in early May.
