Akwa Ibom Police Disburse ₦46.9m to Families, Decorate New DSPs in Emotional Ceremony

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has disbursed ₦46.9 million to families of fallen officers and decorated a new batch of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs). The payment, made through the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Schemes, aims to support the families of officers who died in the line of duty.

Commissioner of Police Baba Mohammed Azare emphasized the Force's recognition of the sacrifices made by its personnel and the importance of supporting the families left behind. The ceremony, held in Uyo, highlighted the commitment to honoring fallen officers and rewarding hard work within the police force.
