PSC Promotes 952 Senior Officers

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 952 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). The decision was made during the first plenary meeting of the 6th Board of the Commission in Abuja.

The promotion was endorsed by the Inspector General of Police and the Secretary of the Commission, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani. Among the newly promoted officers are Maidawa Yakubu, Edwin Thomas, and Grace Okon.

The Chairman of the Commission, Deputy Inspector General of Police Hashimu Argungu, congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to demonstrate patriotism and adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the service. The promotions cover officers from various commands and units across the country, including the FCID Special Fraud Unit in Lagos and the Enugu State Command.
