AICFF 2026 Concludes, Urges Christian Creatives to Excel

The Africa International Christian Film Festival (AICFF) 2026 concluded its historic maiden edition on June 6, 2026, at Silverbird Cinema in Abuja. The festival brought together filmmakers, actors, producers, church leaders, and media practitioners to strengthen the faith film ecosystem in Africa.

The opening ceremony featured a goodwill message from notable figures in the global faith film industry, including Alex Kendrick and Paul Sirmon. The festival's theme focused on the current state of faith-based filmmaking in Africa, with discussions led by industry leaders such as Felix Oisamoj and Mike Bamiloye.

Throughout the four-day event, participants engaged in film screenings, masterclasses, and business sessions aimed at enhancing distribution opportunities within the faith film industry. The festival concluded with the AICFF awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in faith-based filmmaking, including a pitch competition where Tomisin Faoy emerged as the winner, receiving a cash prize of N250,000 and mentorship opportunities.
