'Where The River Divides' Wins Big at AICFF

"Where The River Divides," a film inspired by true events, won Best Film and six additional awards at the first-ever Africa International Christian Film Festival (AICFF) held at Silverbird Cinema in Abuja. The film, which follows a young man's journey in 1979 Kenya as he faces life-changing decisions regarding his Christian faith and his father's traditional legacy, was produced by Christ Youth CII and directed by M.D.

Neeli. The festival, convened by Bright Wonder Obinna Obasi, aimed to bring together filmmakers, actors, producers, church leaders, and creative media practitioners to advance faith-based storytelling across Africa.

The event marked a significant moment for the Christian creative community, emphasizing collaboration and inspiration. The festival also recognized other winners, including awards for Best Editing, Best Foreign Film, and Best Documentary, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing a vibrant creative community and expanding the global impact of African Christian cinema.
