Mutfwang Clarifies Tinubu's Remarks on Airport Electricity

Governor Mutfwang of Plateau State addressed comments made by President Tinubu regarding the lack of electricity at the Runway Airport during a visit to the state. Tinubu had expressed concern about the airport's lack of lighting, which sparked outrage among Nigerian political elites.

In an interview with Arise Television on Wednesday, Mutfwang clarified that while the Runway Airport does indeed lack electricity, this situation does not represent the overall electricity availability in Plateau State. He emphasized that the comments made by Tinubu were based on a brief 10-minute observation during his visit, which may not accurately reflect the broader context of electricity supply in the region.

Mutfwang also mentioned that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is aware of the situation at the airport.
