Airport Saga: Emmanson Absent As NCAA Meets AVSEC, Ibom Air Cabin Crew

Ms. Comfort Emmanson, the passenger at the center of a recent incident involving Ibom Air at Lagos Airport, was notably absent from a scheduled meeting with the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The meeting, part of an ongoing investigation into the August 10, 2025 incident, was held at the NCAA headquarters in Abuja. The meeting, which included staff from Aviation Security (AVSEC) and Ibom Air cabin crew, aimed to hear all sides of the incident.

Ms. Emmanson's absence raised concerns, as she was reportedly ready to fly at the time.

The NCAA had arranged the meeting in Lagos to prevent any potential airport drama. The investigation, led by NCAA's director of public affairs and consumer protection, Michael Achimugu, aims to shed light on the incident that gained traction on social media.

Ibom Air cabin crew members were also invited to continue the investigation.
