Airtel Africa Plc Total Voting Rights Update October 2026

Airtel Africa Plc filed a Total Voting Rights and Capital disclosure on 2 October 2026 in compliance with the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1R. The filing sets out the company's issued share capital and total voting rights as at 30 September 2026.
Airtel Africa Plc (AIRTELAFRI) has notified both the London and Lagos markets of its total voting rights and issued share capital position as at the close of business on 30 September 2026, in accordance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1R.
According to the filing, the company's total issued share capital stood at 3,630,365,966 ordinary shares, each with a nominal value of USD 0.50 per share and carrying one vote per share.
Of this total, 6,136,678 ordinary shares are currently held in treasury. Shares held in treasury carry no voting rights and are therefore excluded from the voting denominator calculation.
As a result, the total number of voting rights available to shareholders — which serves as the denominator for FCA transparency threshold calculations — is 3,624,229,288.
This figure is relevant to any shareholder or entity assessing whether they are required to disclose a notifiable interest or a change in their interest in the company under FCA transparency rules.
