Airtel Foundation Grants Scholarships to 70 Nigerian Students

The Airtel Foundation awarded full scholarships to 70 undergraduate students from various universities across Nigeria during a ceremony held at Airtel Nigeria's headquarters in Lagos. The event was attended by Dr.

Segun Ogunsanya, Chairman of Airtel Africa Foundation, and Dinesh Balsingh, CEO of Airtel Nigeria. Dr.

Ogunsanya highlighted the importance of the Airtel Africa Foundation's undergraduate tech scholarship initiative, stating that the foundation's legacy is measured not by the volume of sim cards sold but by the impact on people's lives and the support provided to students. He emphasized the need to lift people out of poverty as a benchmark for great companies today, aiming to ensure that the fourth industrial revolution is driven by African talent.

The scholarships are part of the foundation's commitment to fostering education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across the continent.
