Aisha Yesufu Rejects House of Reps Ticket Over Fairness

Aisha Yesufu, a prominent activist, publicly explained her decision to reject a ticket for the House of Representatives during a lecture at Veritas University in Abuja. She stated that 20 individuals had already purchased nomination forms to contest the position, and she found the process to be unfair and irregular.

Yesufu expressed that accepting the ticket would unjustly affect those who had invested time and money in pursuing their aspirations. She described the arrangement as unjust and claimed it contradicted the guiding laws of fairness.

Yesufu emphasized her commitment to integrity, stating she would rather forfeit potential benefits than engage in an unfair political process. She encouraged young Nigerians to become actively involved in politics, stressing that political participation should extend beyond merely voting during elections.
