Adelabu Honors Ajimobi's Legacy Ahead of 2027 Elections

Adebayo Adelabu, a former minister and governorship aspirant for the APC in Oyo State, stated that the late Abiola Ajimobi was like a father to him, providing clear mentorship and guidance. In an interview during the sixth-year fidau prayer for Ajimobi held at his residence in Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, Adelabu praised Ajimobi's leadership style, which he described as a "magnet" that attracted people to politics.

He emphasized the need for the APC to remain united and look beyond individual aspirations to unseat the current People's Democratic Party government in the 2027 elections. Adelabu also recalled Ajimobi's achievements in security and infrastructure while serving as governor, noting his proactive approach to crime.

Olalekan Ali, a former secretary to the state government, echoed Adelabu's sentiments, urging party members to prioritize collective interests over personal ambitions. Abdulfatai Buhari, a senator, acknowledged Ajimobi's strong principles and impactful mentorship in shaping the political landscape.
