Deji Aboderin Announces House of Reps Candidacy in Oyo

Deji Aboderin, who previously served as a special adviser on public affairs to the late Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, has announced his candidacy for the House of Representatives in the 2027 elections. He aims to represent the Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East federal constituencies under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.

In his declaration, Aboderin emphasized the need to serve the people of Oyo State and to focus on grassroots development initiatives that improve the quality of life for constituents. He acknowledged the lessons learned from his previous attempt to contest in 2019, where he faced challenges, including alleged rigging.

Aboderin expressed his commitment to align with President Bola Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda, particularly in prioritizing mass welfare and supporting reforms in the power sector. He criticized the eight-year tenure of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and stated that he would begin his campaign at the ward level in Ibadan South East.
