Omol Declares Candidacy for Ondo Assembly in 2027

Olugbenga Omol, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former special adviser on transport to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, announced his candidacy for the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Akoko South West ahead of the 2027 general elections. His declaration took place on a Sunday during a community empowerment event in Oka Akoko, where he unveiled a 20 million naira development fund aimed at supporting youth, students, artisans, market women, farmers, and transport workers.

Omol emphasized his commitment to quality representation and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people. He pledged to focus on youth empowerment, infrastructure expansion, and local council development within the constituency.

Additionally, he highlighted his previous achievements during his tenure from 2019 to 2023, including job creation and support for grassroots initiatives. His candidacy has received endorsement from Victor Olabimtan, the chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board.
