Oshiomhole Accuses Akpabio of Paranoia in Senate Tensions

Adam Oshiomhole, a senator representing Edo North, claimed that Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, perceives him as a devil. This statement was made during a podcast amid rising tensions in the Senate, particularly following Akpabio's controversial remarks regarding the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).

Oshiomhole expressed that Akpabio is overly paranoid, stating that he becomes uncomfortable in the presence of certain senators, including Abdulaziz Yari. Oshiomhole's comments come as the Senate anticipates significant changes in its leadership structure, diverging from the previous 10th Senate.

He also distanced himself from comments labeling the NNPC as a "bunch of criminals," asserting that such views do not represent the Senate. The Senate recently adopted a motion clarifying that no committee has the authority to issue arrest warrants without compliance with legislative protocols, following recommendations against Mele Kyari, the former NNPC Group Chief Executive Officer.
