Akpoti-Uduaghan's Cybercrime Trial Postponed Amid Protests in Abuja

The cybercrime trial of Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Abuja has been rescheduled to November 24 after protests led by Omoyele Sowore disrupted proceedings. Akpoti-Uduaghan faces charges of transmitting false information with intent to malign and incite.

The trial, initially set for October 20, was delayed due to the protests demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The case involves allegations against Akpoti-Uduaghan for addressing a gathering in Kogi State and accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of giving instructions.
