Court Adjourns Senator Natasha's Cybercrime Trial Amid Disruptions

The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Moham Umar, adjourned the cybercrime trial of Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan to November 24. The trial, initially scheduled to start on October 20, was disrupted by protests led by activists Nnamdi Kanu and Omoyele Sowore.

Senator Akpoti Uduaghan faces six counts of cybercrime filed by the Director of Public Prosecutions Federal. The defense team raised objections challenging the court's jurisdiction.

The prosecution alleges that Akpoti Uduaghan transmitted false injurious information electronically, aiming to malign, incite, and endanger lives. The case involves accusations against Senator Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.
