Akwa Ibom Media Practitioners Call for Reversal of IPI Sanctions on Governor Eno

Akwa Ibom media practitioners are urging the International Press Institute Nigeria to reverse sanctions imposed on Governor Umo Eno. The sanctions, which include the withdrawal of accreditations from Channel TV reporters, were deemed unjustified and not reflective of the governor's media-friendly approach.

The IPI's actions were criticized for lacking thorough investigation and potentially being based on misinformation. Anieti Usen, a senior special assistant to the governor, defended the governor's integrity and criticized the violation of journalistic ethics by the affected TV crew.
