Alejandro Garnacho Fined for Speeding Before Chelsea Move

Alejandro Garnacho, a 21-year-old player from Manchester United, was fined for speeding after being caught driving his black Audi RS 3 at 50mph in a 40mph zone near the Carrington training ground on August 26. This incident occurred just four days before he completed a £40 million transfer to Chelsea.

Court documents reveal that Garnacho admitted to the offense, and his lawyer, JMW Solicitor, apologized in court to Magistrate Jane Hayn. He was ordered to pay a £660 fine, £120 in costs, and a £264 victim surcharge, along with receiving three penalty points on his driving license.

Initially, Garnacho faced charges for failing to respond to a letter from Greater Manchester Police requesting the identification of the driver, but those charges were dropped when he pleaded guilty to speeding. The case was dealt with under a single justice procedure last week.
