Alejandro Garnacho Fined for Speeding Near Training Ground

Alejandro Garnacho, a 21-year-old winger for Manchester United, was fined £660 after being caught speeding at 50mph in a 40mph zone close to the club's Carrington training facility on August 26. The incident occurred just four days before he signed a £40 million deal with Chelsea.

Garnacho appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court, where he admitted to the speeding offense and expressed embarrassment over the situation. Magistrate Jane Hayn imposed the fine and ordered him to pay an additional £264 in costs.

As a result of the offense, Garnacho received three penalty points on his driving license. His lawyer, from JMW Solicitors, stated that Garnacho acknowledged the oversight and apologized for exceeding the speed limit, emphasizing his embarrassment regarding the incident.
