ALGON to Strengthen Agriculture and Healthcare in 774 LGAs

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) aims to enhance the agricultural revolution and primary healthcare services across the 774 local government areas in Nigeria. During a quarterly National Executive Council meeting in Abuja, ALGON discussed plans to directly support grassroots farmers to increase food production and assist Nigerian farmers at the local government level.

By providing better access to affordable farm inputs and mechanization, ALGON seeks to drive down food production costs and ensure farmers receive better value for their products. Bello Lawal emphasized the importance of local governments in driving agricultural development within Nigeria's federal system.
