Alia Nominates Six Commissioners for Benue Assembly Approval

On Tuesday, Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia transmitted the names of six commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation. The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the House, Zape Upaa, announced this in a statement.

The nominees are Hon. Kuma Yenge, Hon.

Roy Terna, Hon. Angwa Monday, Hon.

Elizabeth Ogenyi, Hon. Solomon Iorpev, and Hon.

Nick Eworo. Governor Alia indicated that this move is intended to strengthen the State Executive Council and inject additional expertise into the administration.

He requested the House to give the nominees prompt and favorable consideration. This submission comes as the Alia-led administration consolidates its cabinet and strengthens the machinery of government for effective service delivery, particularly as some executive council members resigned to contest various elective offices during primary elections.
