Adeleke's Victory Reinforces Voter Mandate in Osun

Aminu Gwarzo, the Kano State governorship candidate for the National Democratic Congress, commented on Ademola Adeleke's re-election as Osun State Governor, stating that it illustrates the electorate's authority in political matters. Gwarzo congratulated Adeleke and the citizens of Osun State, asserting that the election showcased the strength of democracy and the citizens' determination to protect their mandate.

He remarked that the election results reaffirmed that democracy is in the hands of the people, whose choices must be respected. Gwarzo expressed optimism that Adeleke's victory signals what the NDC could achieve in Kano in the upcoming 2027 governorship election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission announced Adeleke as the winner on Sunday, with 511,067 votes from the Accord Party, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who garnered 444,811 votes. The candidate from the African Democratic Congress finished third with 17,180 votes.
