Governor Aliyu Assesses Development Projects in Sokoto

Governor Ahmadu Aliyu of Sokoto State announced plans to tour 23 local government areas (LGAs) to evaluate the progress of development projects executed by the councils. During his visit to Goronyo Local Government Area, he inspected the construction of women and children's welfare clinics.

Governor Aliyu highlighted the necessity of this tour to assess the quality of development projects across the LGAs, noting that local councils are the closest tier of government to the people, impacting the lives of rural dwellers. He expressed that the execution of projects such as boreholes, rural roads, primary healthcare centers, and classrooms is essential for improving living conditions.

The governor commended the Goronyo Local Government Chairman, Zubairu Yari, for the ongoing construction of three clinics and called for intensified efforts to enhance healthcare access. He was accompanied by several officials, including APC leader Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and Deputy Governor Idri Muham Gobir.
