FAAN Ensures Airport Safety with Full Insurance and Runway Overhauls

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed that all federal airports in the country are fully insured and undergoing runway overhauls. FAAN Managing Director, Olubunmi Kuku, addressed concerns raised by Executive Officer of Overland Airways about the impact of airport conditions on domestic airline operations.

Kuku assured that runway maintenance and hygiene are being prioritized, with a focus on addressing issues like bird strikes and structural problems. The FAAN is collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the safety and efficiency of airport operations, emphasizing the gradual overhaul of runways to enhance safety standards and prevent disruptions in air travel.
