Burna Boy, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, has achieved significant recognition in the music industry with multiple Grammy nominations from 2020 to 2024. His journey began with the album "African Giant," released on July 26, 2019, which was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards but did not win, losing to Angélique Kidjo's "Celia." However, it marked a cultural milestone for Afrobeat.

In 2021, he won the Grammy for Best Global Music Album with "Twice as Tall," released on August 14, 2020, making him the first Nigerian solo artist to win in this category. His subsequent album, "Love, Damini," released on July 8, 2022, earned another nomination for Best Global Music Album at the 65th Grammy Awards.
