Eja IC Secures $1M to Boost Cold-Chain Infrastructure

Eja IC Nigeria Limited has announced a $1 million investment from All On to expand its cold-chain infrastructure in underserved off-grid communities across Nigeria. This funding is expected to strengthen Eja IC's manufacturing capacity and increase access to reliable refrigeration services for households, businesses, and cooperatives in areas with limited or no electricity supply.

The investment addresses persistent challenges in Nigeria's agricultural and fisheries sectors, where millions of small-scale farmers and traders suffer significant losses due to inadequate cold storage facilities. The initiative aims to bridge the gap by providing solar-powered refrigeration solutions, thereby improving profit margins and strengthening local food value chains.

Carolin Eboumb, Chief Executive Officer of All On, stated that the investment aligns with their broader objective of supporting businesses that enhance energy access and create economic opportunities. Yusuf Bilesanmi, founder and CEO of Eja IC, described the investment as a major milestone in their mission to develop locally designed energy solutions for the African market.
