Former Nigerian Labour Minister Ngige Remanded in Corruption Case

The former Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, has been remanded in the Kuje Correctional Center by an Abuja High Court on corruption charges brought by the EFCC. Ngige is accused of conferring unfair advantages and accepting gifts worth millions of naira during his time in office from 2015 to 2023.

His bail application is set to be heard on December 15. The court proceedings were led by lawyers Patrick Ikweato and Sylvanus Tahir, with Justice Mariam Hassan presiding over the case.
